Statement in Response to Notice Published on the Product Safety Australia Website

Upon advice of the formal enforcement of new product standards legislation on 22 June 2022, Under Armour worked closely with relevant authorities and associated retail partners to immediately update consumer advice messaging for products within our HOVR and FLOW ranges that contain a small button battery embedded in the heel of the right shoe. With efficiency and speed, Under Armour activated a proactive nationwide product recall to ensure all identified products were labelled with accurate consumer advice product warnings.

On Friday Dec 2nd, the Australia Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) published a Product Recall Notice on the Product Safety Australia website. This notice pertains ONLY to the HOVR and FLOW ranges of footwear sold during the period of 22-24 June 2022, as those units were sold without the relevant warning sticker to advise that the right shoe contains a button battery sealed within a pod and embedded in the shoe.

UA HOVR and FLOW product ranges affected and sold after this period were properly labelled and back in full supply at nationwide retail chains, Under Armour stores and UA.com

Under Armour is committed to ensuring the safety of all our current and future athletes and continues to work closely with pertinent authorities to ensure our products comply and our consumers are armed with accurate information so they can make informed choices.

Additional notes:

-  The battery is sealed within a pod and embedded in the right shoe and is not accessible by hand

-  The warning label issued to all affected HOVR and FLOW can be found below. For any further information please contact customerserviceau@underarmour.com.

-  Please note that refunds will not be issued unless product purchased during the above-mentioned period is faulty.
